Faith
Scripture, prayer and the good news of Jesus are the source of every song.

Our living archive
From five voices in Gasave to a 130-member ministry at ADEPR Nyarugenge, Hoziana’s story is one of faith kept in harmony.
Where the song began
In 1968, Rev. Kayihura Jacob formed a five-person singing group in Gasave, Kigali.
The group included his wife, their two daughters and evangelist Mbuzukongira Gaspard. Their ministry grew from a simple conviction: the gospel could be carried through song.
In 1978, singers from Nyakabanda and Gikondo continued the ministry at Nyarugenge. First known as Kigali Choir, the group soon became Hoziana Choir—the name generations of worshippers know today.

The journey
Hoziana has adapted its sound across decades without changing its message: Jesus Christ proclaimed through worship and service.
Rev. Kayihura Jacob gathers a five-person singing group in Kigali.
The Nyarugenge group, first called Kigali Choir, takes the Hoziana name.
The choir’s first album, Maranatha, opens a new chapter in its musical ministry.
Dufite Ibihamya is released, while outreach continues in communities beyond the platform.
Many generations continue to sing, mentor young musicians and share the gospel from Kigali.
What guides us
Scripture, prayer and the good news of Jesus are the source of every song.
Different voices become one sound across ages, backgrounds and generations.
Preparation and craft are offered with care because the message matters.
Ministry reaches beyond music through practical care and community outreach.
The life behind the song is shaped by honesty, responsibility and faithful witness.
